My name is Steph. I have always lived in Southern California-it’s home. I’m in my teens, hate make-up with a passion, and hate (well, strongly dislike unless the occasion calls for it) to dress up. I wear what’s comfortable-I am me, an individual. I won’t change for anyone.

My goal is to become a sports beat writer…or just a sports writer in general for any sport…but my dream beat is for the New York Yankees (gee, what a surprise). I’d happily do another sport like soccer, basketball, football, or hockey, but the Yankees are always on top in my books. I’m in my first year of college right now and loving it. I’m attending on a full-ride scholarship; I have no idea where I’d be right now if I didn’t get this opportunity. Who knows if I would have even made it or gone to college? I’m just enjoying what are supposed to be some of the best years of my life.

My hobbies include playing any sort of sport (and winning, hopefully…I play soccer on a near-daily basis), watching sports, reading, writing, photography, traveling (whenever I get the chance), driving (okay, blame me for global warming), and hanging out with family and friends.

So what teams do I root for? Many…and they’ll probably seem like a random assortment, too: the Yankees (of course), Utah Jazz, Minnesota Vikings (thanks, Grandma!), LA Sparks, US WNT, UCLA, various hockey teams, many foreign teams and foreign national teams…why keep myself confined to a single location? Then there are individual players in sports like tennis and golf, but I’m too lazy to name everyone.
