My company does video news stories on great people with awesome attitudes -- they don't get much better than some of the Negro League players who broke barriers in baseball!

You can see a video we did at MLB's recent symbolic draft of Negro League players, which includes Millito Navarro, Peanut Johnson, Charley Pride and Bill Blair as well as Ken Griffey and Dave Winfield.

I hope you enjoy it!

It is crazy that this rash of ACLs is taking place. I was at the game in Cary NC and saw Mitts start. It was wet and raining so I was surprised she got the call because her knee had been giving her trouble the previous weeks. Mitts didn't miss a beat and I never realized how fast she was. My thoughts were confirmed on May 21 - The team had its Beep test - for those who don't know what that is - look it up : ) This is a quote taken from the WNT blog: "Mitts sweated and sprinted to the best score by far and probably one of the best marks in recent U.S. WNT history. "

Mitts is back and better - she turned 30 on Monday, and she has the experience, heart, dedication, speed and smarts Pia is looking for. It helps that Pia worked with Mitts in Philly. It helps that Mitts can score and the new philosophy that Pia has taught is that of offense and long setups from the backs.

Not only will Mitts make the team but I believe she will be starting in her second Olympics.

The positive side of the team being at .500 this far into the season is that the Yankees don't start to dump players towards the middle of the season like other teams do. The trade deadline will be the perfect chance for them to pick up some middle relief, which there will be plenty available since there are so many sub .500 teams in the MLB this year. The main talk all over NY has been "Are the Yankees more focussed in getting Joba ready than they are on winning"?. Girardi made it clear though that he is looking at this team in the long run, makes you wonder if they are more focussed on next year instead of 2008. Since Cashman trusted his young rotation at the beginning of the year that makes it seem even more as if he is looking at the team as a future contender. Especially knowing that the Redsox team from last year was coming back with more experience and young players who made an impact last year. What do you think?

Yes, Mussina belongs in the Hall unless legitimate steroid or other banned substance usage rumors begin cropping up.

I think the best argument is that he's pitching in the steroid era in the AL East and has consistently been terrific his entire career.

I am digging this covering the bases thing. I can't wait till Doumit comes back....go Buccos!

Also, if your interested we have a new forum that is targeting sports/entertainment. We need a few good people to help get us started. Anything at all would be awesome, just one post, heck even post this stuff again in there as well. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton.
