I was at the game in Cary NC and saw Mitts start. It was wet and raining so I was surprised she got the call because her knee had been giving her trouble the previous weeks. Mitts didn't miss a beat and I never realized how fast she was. My thoughts were confirmed on May 21 - The team had its Beep test - for those who don't know what that is - look it up : ) This is a quote taken from the WNT blog: "Mitts sweated and sprinted to the best score by far and probably one of the best marks in recent U.S. WNT history. " Mitts is back and better - she turned 30 on Monday, and she has the experience, heart, dedication, speed and smarts Pia is looking for. It helps that Pia worked with Mitts in Philly. It helps that Mitts can score and the new philosophy that Pia has taught is that of offense and long setups from the backs.
